This lifestyle session is all about coziness. The day of the session was Maria’s 31st birthday and we were planning a family session in the golden leaves of Centennial park. However, it happened to be one of those terrible Sydney winter days – blowing a gale with cold, miserable rain. I couldn’t let our plans completely fail on such a special day, so I suggested we shoot on site at Maria’s house and make a session in a place where her family spend most of their time.
I must say, lifestyle sessions at your home are very special. This the only place where you feel completely relaxed and your true self. The place in its own tells the whole story about you and your family – every detail has meaning and a reason to be there.
At first thought it could seem like an unexciting place to have photoshoot, yet years later when you might move houses, cities or even countries and your kids grow up, it will be a magical feeling to return to those times, and relive those moments when you were young and your children were small; to see what your house looked like, to feel again what you felt back then and ponder on how time flies and reflect on what you’ve achieved and how much you’ve changed since.
